Exceptional Home Care in Minnesota
We consider Homewatch Home Care to be the premier provider of in-home care and assistance in Minnesota. Our mission is simple, "We do our very best to make it possible for people of any age, with any health condition, to continue living their life at home."
Homewatch Home Care offers people a new way of aging - by staying in their own home! We want people to know that they
should never feel that they or their parents, spouses, siblings, or friends have to move into a
nursing home
or
assisted living
apartment. We provide similar care and assistance
in people's own
homes, so they don't have to move! We also offer family caregivers the support and care management assistance that they need to continue living their own lives and attending to their work and personal needs.

The Homewatch Home Care Model looks like this:
A personalized care plan for each client is created and then managed by a Registered Nurse Care Manager.
Homewatch clients receive regular home visits and stay in frequent communication with their RN Care Manager. Homewatch RN Care Managers do initial assessments, create care plans, set up medications, consult with doctors and families, and arrange for other services such as Medicare or physical therapy. We will even arrange for home maintenance, bill paying, lawn mowing, or other services that make staying home possible for seniors. The primary role of the RN Care Manager is to supervise our caregivers who provide the day-to-day care and assistance to our clients.
Homewatch caregivers have qualifications similar to those of the nursing assistants in nursing homes and assisted living. They can assist with preparing meals, housekeeping, bathing and personal care, administering medications, simply offering companionship, providing transportation for running errands or doctor appointments, planning social outings, doing Alzheimer's and Parkinson's related cares, doing catheter care and tube feedings, and much more.
Our caregivers are selectively hired and all have elder care experience. They
are compassionate and well-trained home health aides who have been re-tested on their certification upon hire. We also do background, driving record, and reference checks as part of our hiring process.
Our caregivers can make home care visits that are from 3-hours up to 24-hours a day on a flexible and personalized schedule that is determined by the client, the client's family, doctors, and/or the Homewatch RN Care Manager. We also offer around-the-clock and live-in options.
Our clients have the benefit of receiving care from consistent caregivers and Nurse Care Managers so that they all get to know and trust one another.
We want you to know that at Homewatch Home Care, we recognize that ultimately most seniors want to stay living at home, but oftentimes their needs go beyond traditional home care services. Therefore, Homewatch RN Care Managers can ensure that services such as bill paying and management, home modifications (bathrooms, ramps, elevators, etc.), home maintenance (furnace repair, yard work, painting, etc.), financial consultation (general planning, trusts, reverse mortgages, long term care insurance, etc.), and other services are arranged and managed by Homewatch. We use a group of reliable providers to make staying home feasible for almost any senior; and best of all, our RN Care Managers can do the work to help alleviate stress for family members!
Most of the
Homewatch RN Care Manager services such as assessments, making frequent home visits, arranging for and managing services from other providers, and communicating with doctors and families
are offered at no additional charge - they are included with our home care caregiver services. We also ensure for our clients that a Homewatch-employed Registered Nurse is on-call 24-hours a day, every day of the year.
We provide care for people who live in their own homes or apartments, assisted living apartments, or with family. Our home care clients are treated as individuals and we address their individual needs. Some of our clients are still very independent and just need a little extra help each week, while other clients require a lot of hands-on care to stay at home because of severe memory loss, Alzheimer's Disease, Stroke, Parkinson's Disease, Multiple Sclerosis, and other health ailments or illnesses.
Homewatch clients,
of all ages, are continuing to live their lives the way that they are accustomed to, in the comfort of their own homes. This means that they continue to eat the foods that they like and when they want, they host family holiday parties in their home, attend shows at the Guthrie, tend to their gardens, take afternoon naps in their favorite chair in their own living room, take a bath in privacy, and receive assistance or care from a consistent and trustworthy caregiver. We do whatever is necessary to make this possible!
We are available with 24-hour notice, seven days a week. Homewatch home care can be a few hours of assistance each week, daily care, overnight care, live-in care, respite care, or around-the-clock care. We serve the greater Twin Cities area, Minneapolis, St. Paul, Mankato, areas of Western Wisconsin, much of Southern Minnesota, and select outstate areas west and north of the Twin Cities metro area. Our standard fees are $27 per hour or $275 per day. We generally require a minimum of two, 3-hour home care visits per week. We can also offer RN Care Management without home care services - please call us for complete information.
