Homewatch Home Care Caregivers

• Homewatch Home Care caregivers are certified Home Health Aides that, at a minimum, meet Minnesota Department of Health requirements. A Home Health Aide has the same training, knowledge, and skills as a Nursing Assistant. (Personal Care Assistants and Personal Care Attendants often have less training than Nursing Assistants or Home Health Aides).  Homewatch caregivers have the same qualifications and can provide the same care that the caregivers in Assisted Living and Nursing Home's provide.

• Our caregivers are regularly supervised by Homewatch Registered Nurses, called Nurse Care Managers. (Click Here to meet our Nurse Care Managers).  Our caregivers provide care that is based upon a care plan that is created by the Nurse. The Nurse creates the care plan after doing an assessment with the client (usually at no charge). Our clients and caregivers always have access to a Homewatch Nurse who is on-call 24-hours per day.

• Our caregivers are experienced in home care, very competent, and compassionate.

• They have good communication skills.

• Our caregivers drive their own cars and can provide transportation for our clients to get to appointments, run errands, or have social outings to interesting places, concerts, dining, ball games, etc.

• They have passed a written test, a skills test, a background check, reference checks, and a driving record check.

• Our caregivers are Homewatch Home Care employees who are bonded and insured, and covered by Worker's Compensation Insurance.

• We try our best to provide our clients with a cheerful and positive caregiver.

• We also try very hard to make a good personality fit between our caregivers and clients. We try to make it possible for every client to receive consistent care from a caregiver that they get to know and trust.

• We hire caregivers and nurses who live all over the Twin Cities and Southern Minnesota: from Stillwater to Anoka to Golden Valley to Minnetonka to Bloomington and down to Mankato, New Ulm, and Owatonna so that it is possible for Minnesota's seniors who need care to continue living life -- in their own home!  We can also provide live-in care in parts of Western Wisconsin and Northern Minnesota, including St. Cloud.
