Nursing Home Alternative
(Learn more about Home Care compared to a Nursing Home)
At Homewatch Home Care, we offer everything that a nursing home does and more! We say more, because with Homewatch, people are able to stay living in their own homes and receive one-on-one care that is personalized to their needs from a caregiver that they get to know and trust.
With Homewatch Home Care, people receive care and/or assistance on a day-to-day basis from compassionate individuals who are well-trained, screened, and certified as Home Health Aides (HHA). A HHA has the same qualifications as a Nursing Assistant that provides care in a Nursing Home or Hospital. Homewatch HHA's have prior experience in working with seniors and come to us with good references. Our HHA Caregivers are available for respite care, assistance each week on a personalized and flexible schedule of 3-hr up to 24-hr visits, and for live-in care.
The biggest difference between a Nursing Home and Home Care is that with Homewatch Home Care people get one-on-one care, in their own home, from a consistant caregiver whom they get to know and trust. With Homewatch Home Care, seniors continue living their life, the way they choose and where they choose. We ensure for our clients that they have the assistance they need to maintain their homes, have transportation for doctors appointments or errands or social outings, to appropriately take medications, to eat healthy meals, and to have other needs such as personal care attended to -- all making it possible to stay home without having to move into a nursing home.
With Homewatch Home Care, our caregivers not only address people's medical needs, but also their social and emotional needs. In addition to medication administration, providing for bathing and personal care, assisting with mobility, and providing Alzheimer's and Parkinson's Care ... we help with housekeeping, prepare meals to our client's liking, provide transportation, run errands, and plan social outings based on individual interests. We do our very best to match up Homewatch caregivers and clients who will get along well. Our goal is to take care of
whatever is necessary so that the client can continue living their life at home, indefinitely.
Homewatch Home Care is supervised through regular in-home visits by a Registered Nurse. The R.N. can provide case management, liaison with doctors and family members, perform skilled assessments, set up medications, and so much more. Family members have a reliable source for communication, consultation, and management of their loved one's care. Homewatch clients have access to an RN who is on-call 24-hours a day, just as in Assisted Living.
Almost
anyone can choose to stay home with Homewatch Home Care and shouldn't feel that they have to move into a Nursing Home. People who are aging naturally and people with Parkinson's Disease, Alzheimer's Disease, Heart Conditions, Diabetes, Paralysis, aftereffects of Stroke, and other conditions can choose to live at home and receive exceptional care with Homewatch Home Care.
