Baywood Home Care (formerly Homewatch Home Care) received impeccable results on its 2008 survey by the Minnesota Department of Health. "ALL indicators of compliance were met!" Click Here to look up the survey results of Class A-licensed Home Care Agencies in Minnesota.
Baywood Home Care (formerly Homewatch Home Care) caregivers are certified Home Health Aides that, at a minimum, meet Minnesota Department of Health requirements. A Home Health Aide has the same training, knowledge, and skills as a Nursing Assistant. (Personal Care Assistants and Personal Care Attendants often have less training than Nursing Assistants or Home Health Aides). Baywood caregivers (formerly Homewatch caregivers) have the same qualifications and can provide the same care that the caregivers in Assisted Living and Nursing Home's provide.
Our caregivers are regularly supervised by Baywood Home Care Registered Nurses (formerly Homewatch Home Care Registered Nurses). Click Here to meet The Baywood R.N. Care Managers (Previously Homewatch R.N. Care Managers). Our caregivers provide care that is based upon a care plan that is created by the Nurse. The Nurse creates the care plan after doing an assessment with the client (usually at no charge). Our clients and caregivers always have access to a Baywood Home Care Nurse (previously Homewatch Home Care Nurse) who is on-call 24-hours per day.
Our caregivers are experienced in home care, very competent, and compassionate.
They have good communication skills.
Our caregivers drive their own cars and can provide transportation for our clients to get to appointments, run errands, or have social outings to interesting places, concerts, dining, ball games, etc.
Each of our caregiver's has passed a written home health aide test, a skills test, reference checks, a driving record check, and extensive background checks that go above and beyond the state's minimum requirements.
Our caregivers are Baywood Home Care (previously Homewatch Home Care) employees who are bonded and insured, and covered by Worker's Compensation Insurance.
We try our best to provide our clients with a cheerful and positive caregiver.
We also try very hard to make a good personality fit between our caregivers and clients. We try to make it possible for every client to receive consistent care from a caregiver that they get to know and trust.
All of our caregivers (Home Health Aides, LPN's, and R.N.'s) are trained in dementia care. The areas of training include an understanding of Alzheimer's disease and related disorders, how to provide assistance with daily living, problem-solving skills to deal with challenging behaviors, and communication skills. If the training has not been completed before hiring, the training is completed within 30-days of hiring or before the employee cares for a client with dementia, whichever comes first.
If you would like to ask a Baywood Home Care Nurse (previously Homewatch Home Care Nurse) a question about our caregivers, home care services, long-term care, or your particular situation, please click here. You will receive a response within 48 hours.
We hire caregivers and nurses who live all over the Twin Cities and Southern Minnesota: from Stillwater to Anoka to Golden Valley to Minnetonka to Bloomington and down to Mankato, New Ulm, and Owatonna so that it is possible for Minnesota's seniors who need care to continue living life -- in their own home! We can also provide live-in care in parts of Western Wisconsin and Central Minnesota, including St. Cloud.
